This photo was taken by Air Photo Services Ltd during construction of a new road at Brampton near Huntingdon in 1994. It shows the many development pressures on the modern landscape, and traces of the past landscape, as faint marks in the growing crops. Aggregate extraction, building of new industrial and housing sites and major roads impact upon the past landscape. The Bronze Age burial site marked at 'A' shows only on air photos, and its identification and accurate mapping allowed route planning decisions and recording of further sites in advance of construction.
